Leaf Pickup

The Annual Town of Walkerton Leaf Collection Program will begin the week of October 28th. The collection program will continue through the month of November, or when all leaf piles are picked up, weather permitting.

Residents should rake leaves to the edge of the street or curb for collection. Please place leaves in an open area near the curb away from trees, mailboxes, parked cars, etc. Leaves should not be placed in the street. There will be no collection of bagged leaves, mulched leaves, or leaves placed in the alley. There will also be no collection of grass clippings. Grass clippings should be placed in bags and put with your regular trash pick-up.

Sticks and limbs should not be placed in the leaf piles along with rocks and other debris. Sticks will be picked up at a later date weather permitting. Utility department crews will collect leaves throughout the town and will not collect in a particular area on any set day of the week.
